Let’s talk about reoccurring themes
Like
Wanting nothing more than to shut out your twisted reality
That subconscious desire to kill yourself
Let’s talk about playing with fire
Like those reoccurring thoughts
Like a carousel you can’t get off
Let’s talk about your friends dying
And you’re trying so hard to understand
Let’s talk
About life at 80 miles per hour
Sleeping under the stars we are all made of
Living on the grace of universal love
That has been collectively forgotten by humanity
Let’s talk about how we are taught split our reality into
The hell that is duality
Like there is a way your life should go
Like your plan could fail and that
Life might not be worth living
Let’s talk
And move around some air, make a little noise
And accomplish little to nothing
Like being the change you want to see in the world
Is foolish because we have expectations to live up to
Let’s talk about crossing lines
Like firing a gun
Like giving up the concept of home
Let’s talk about how you’re only as rich as what you can walk away from
Like we can talk all day and
Your friends will still die and you will still try
To kill yourself as slow as possible
So you can enjoy your love of destruction
Let’s talk about how I’m running from all my guilt and pain and desires
Like it’s all chasing me and every time I try
To breath
It all catches up
Let’s talk about how looking in the mirror gets harder as I can see the pain in my eye’s grow
Like how resting in peace is never easy for those who couldn’t find peace while they were alive
And how they died matters less than how they lived
Let’s talk
Let’s talk and shed tears, let’s get angry and let’s feel hurt
Let’s talk and talk and talk and talk
And when we are done talking
Let’s ask if the living have a choice in living, and if the dying have a choice in dying
Like how you can’t stay awake with out getting tired and falling asleep
With no choice but to wake up and repeat after some more weight is added
To our already heavy hearts
They say where you finish usually depends upon where you start
So instead of talking about what we already know
Let’s be quiet and hope
Our friend has found the peace that she seeks
And life and time and the tears we shed and the air we move and the fits we throw
Might bring us the solace we need
